B.J. Jamison's musical voyage finds its origins in the vast landscapes the Sand Hillls of Nebraska, where he was raised on a ranch immersed in rodeo tradition. Despite his family's deep connection to the thrilling world of rodeo, and trying it himself, B.J. forged a distinct path, discovering his love for the guitar at the tender age of 13.
Demonstrating a determination beyond his years, B.J. embarked on a self-guided musical expedition. Within a few short months, he found himself strumming chords as the lead guitarist for a country band, signaling the promising commencement of his musical career. As harmonious notes filled the air, the band encouraged B.J. to explore his vocal talents, leading to a newfound joy in live performances.
B.J.'s musical repertoire mirrors the diversity of the Nebraska landscape. It spans from classic country legends like Ernest Tubb, Conway Twitty, and Johnny Cash to the lively sounds of 80s and 90s country icons such as Mark Chesnutt, George Strait, and Garth Brooks. His musical journey extends even further into the realm of red dirt country, channeling the soulful spirit of artists like Zach Bryan, Tyler Childers, Cody Jinks, and Ian Munsick.
Over the past few years, B.J. has captivated audiences with solo acoustic performances, traveling across the Midwest, playing 150 shows annually, and leaving an indelible mark. From the vibrant lights of fairs and festivals to the intimate settings of street dances, bars, and restaurants, B.J. has become a musical wanderer, scattering echoes of his melodies in every corner.
A testament to his burgeoning stardom, B.J. has had the honor of opening for the likes of Ian Munsick, Jerrod Niemann, Ned Ledoux and more. Underscoring his growing recognition as a rising star in country music, he recently teamed up with well-known hit songwriter and producer Dave Gibson in Nashville. Dave’s currently producing his debut record at the world-famous Curb Studios. Despite all his early success, B.J. is excited for what the future brings “It’s only the beginning. I’m determined to bring the twang back to country music,” says B.J.
